“Target Hardening” for City Centre Property
Following a break-in at the “Rare School of Fashion” in the City Centre, we were recommended to upgrade the security across the street level glazing of this local Liverpool fashion school. Our client wished to reduce the expensive costs of replacing the glass and well as the inconvenience caused, especially to the students studying for their exams. Our security window film did the trick.
We recommended a 7mil Clear, 2 ply, External Security Window Film to be installed to all double glazed units accessible from street level. For maximum “Target Hardening” we also suggested an internal privacy window film that would provide a visual security solution to eliminate the line of vision from the street to the expensive Apple Mac computers situated inside. All internal works were scheduled before the school was opened to minimise disruption to the students.
The combination of Clear “Anti-Bandit Window Film” and the “Visual Privacy Security Window Film” has resulted in no attempted break-in’s in the 6 months since the “target hardening” works have been completed. After considering expensive and unsightly internal metal grilles, our client was amazed at the simple, cost-effective solutions we suggested and installed quickly without damaging the window frames. Students are now able to focus on meeting course deadlines with the most flamboyant designs possible.
